HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is happy to welcome local OB-GYN Dean L. Bloch, MD, back to its hospitals in Kingston.

In his new role as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Bloch oversees the Family Birth Place childbirth center at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus, and sees patients at WMCHealth Advanced OB-GYN’s Kingston location at the Broadway Medical Pavilion located at 373 Broadway. The practice’s phone number is 845-303-1132.

HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus is the only designated Baby-Friendly birth facility between Albany and Westchester County. The designation, widely considered “the gold standard” of maternity practices, means the hospital is nationally credentialed for meeting or exceeding international standards for providing optimal newborn care, including immediate mother-baby bonding and breastfeeding for the best health of the baby and the mother.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bloch received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, now the university’s Robert Larner, MD, College of Medicine, and completed an OB-GYN residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, now NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital.

He practiced at HealthAlliance predecessor hospitals Kingston Hospital and Benedictine Hospital from 2000 to 2010 and was most recently part of the Health Quest Medical Practice in Rhinebeck.

Dr. Bloch lives in Red Hook.
